3. Account Access and Credentials

To access certain features within the app (e.g., view announcements, gallery, fee-related updates), users must log in using credentials provided by the school.

• These login credentials (e.g., Student ID, Teacher ID, Password) are created and managed by the school administration.
• Any student or teacher data is collected and stored by the school, not the app developers.
• The app simply displays data associated with the logged-in user, retrieved securely from the school’s server.

We recommend users keep their credentials confidential and notify the school if they suspect any unauthorized use.

4. Permissions Used

The app requests only one permission:

• Notification Permission: Required to send school announcements, event reminders, homework updates, and similar important messages.
• Notifications are handled locally and do not involve data transmission or tracking.

No other device permissions are requested.

5. UPI Payment Deep Linking

For fee payments and donations, the app supports deep linking to trusted UPI apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.

• All payment processing happens outside the app within your chosen UPI app.
• The FirstStep School App does not store, log, or transmit any financial or transaction-related data.

6. School Content Display

The app displays content such as:

• Event Updates – Information about upcoming and past school activities.
• Photo Gallery – Images of events, competitions, and celebrations hosted by the school.

This content is curated and uploaded by the school. No user-generated or sensitive content is collected through the app.

7. Children’s Privacy

As the app is intended for use by children under the age of 13 (students up to 5th standard), we follow principles outlined under child data protection guidelines.

• The app itself does not collect any personal information from children.
• All student data is collected and handled solely by the school in compliance with relevant laws and policies.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child’s information is being misused, please contact the school immediately.

8. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share any data with third-party vendors, advertisers, analytics services, or other entities.

Since the app does not collect user data, there is nothing to sell, share, or transfer.
